“Hashem called to Moshe…” (Vayikra 1:1)
In the first word of this week’s Parsha, Parshas Vayikra, Moshe wrote the letter Aleph smaller than the other letters. In the first word of Divrei Hayamim (Chronicles), the Aleph is written larger than the rest. Why is this so? Perhaps an answer is that the small Aleph in Vayikra teaches us to remain humble. On the other hand, in Divrei Hayamim the pasuk is talking about important events in the history of mankind. The large Aleph there reminds us that only by standing tall and remaining confident can important event occur. (My Parsha)
