Moshe Rabbeinu’s name is absent from this week’s Parsha. This is very unusual and rare, as Moshe Rabbeinu’s name appears in every Parsha since his birth. Why is his name missing from this week’s Parsha? One reason that the commentaries offer is because the week of Parshas Tetzaveh coincides with the Seventh of Adar, the date of Moshe’s passing, and is also the date of Haman’s original Pur, his lottery to destroy the Jewish people.
Hashem’s name is absent from the Megillah to demonstrate that everything that occurs is from Hashem. (Because the natural events are being orchestrated by Hashem). There is no such thing as a random event or coincidence, there is no Mikreh (coincidence). Indeed, Mikreh is Gematriah (the numerical value of) Hashem to signify that Hashem controls all occurrences and incidences of life, even those which seem to be coincidental.
Similarly, Moshe’s name is absent from this week’s Parsha to show that the Nevuos, the prophecies of Moshe Rabbeinu were exclusively from Hashem and there was no Mikreh (coincidence). Therefore, the Gematriah of Moshe is Mikreh and Hashem! (Rav Yitzchok Fingerer shlita)
